| Although elves and leprechauns are said to have a different origins than fairies, they all have since become intermingled with the fairies.
Part of this is due to are and literature, and part is because they are all nature spirits who have a commonality in the way people perceive them, As a result,
elves and leprechauns are now described as types of fairies. |
Where do you and your fairy friends live? Please let us know by putting a pin on the map.

Leprechauns can
generally be found around clear springs, among the tall
reeds in wetlands, and under the tows of hedges that surround
or separate fields. They like to make their homes in abandoned
burrows, hollow trees, or caves with openings hidden by
bushes and trees.
Leprechauns like to inhabit places that take very little
magic or glamour to make them blend into the landscape,
and keep them from being discovered by humans.
Other names for and relatives of leprechauns include luricaunes,
clurichauns, lurigadaunes, luriceen, logherymen, luchrymen,
leith bhrogan, pixies, spriggins, granconer, red caps
and the far darrig.
