WHAT YOU NEED
  • candy corn
  • plastic sandwich bags (one for each child)
  • adhesive-backed black felt
  • orange and black ribbon
Fill each sandwich bag about 1/2 of candy corn. Tie the top with orange and black ribbons. Cut jack-o-lantern features out of black felt and stick to the front of the bag.
SPIDER PRETZELS
WHAT YOU NEED
  • 2 round crackers for each one
  • 2 tsp smooth peanut butter for each one
  • 8 small pretzel sticks for each one
With the peanut butter, make a cracker sandwich. Insert 8 pretzel "legs" into the filling. With a dab of peanut butter, set 2 raisin eyes on top.

WHAT YOU NEED
  • 2 qts. popped pop corn
  • 2 tbsp. melted butter
  • red food paste (be sure to use food past, not the food coloring that is sold in the grocery store)
In large bowl add the popcorn. Add a bit of the red food past to the melted butter, and dripple over the pop corn. Stir gently to spread over the color red.
SPIDER SUCKERS
Take a large lollipop (Tootsie Roll Pops are great) and wrap 4 long black pipe cleaners around the stick beside the sucker. Twist around until secure. Then, extend the pipe cleaners out to make 8 legs. Bend each leg to resemble a spider's leg. Last, glue on wiggly eyes.

Warm a frying pan over low heat. Touch the flat side of a Hershey Kiss to the pan just to start it melting. Then place the kiss in the center of the cooked cookie. Let cool. Use a tube of orange icing to pipe a little ribbon and bow on the hat.
BLOODY FINGERS
Take a package of Lady Fingers and place the fingers on a tray. Spread with raspberry jam. Place an almond slice at the "tip" of the finger. Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar and serve.
SWAMP SLIME
Make green Jell-O. Put about half into dessert dishes and the rest in a bowl. When the Jell-O begins to solidify, add various candy and gummy bugs. Beat the rest of the Jell-O to a froth. Pour over the top. Let set.
CHOCOLATE SPIDERS Pet Costumes
Melt some chocolate chips in the microwave. When done, put the chocolate in dray chow mien noodles and mix well. Spoon ont grease proof paper as little blobs and put 2 mini M&Ms on each one for eyes. Leave in fridge to cool.
SPIDER CUPCAKES
Either make cupcakes following instructions on box, or purchase already made cupcakes. Cut Twizzlers the long way to get thin pieces and then cut those two pieces in half. Place three on each side of the cupcake as legs. Use M&Ms as eyes.
MARSHMALLOW SPIDERS Barbie & Princess Costumes
Using 8 thin pretzel sticks, place four on both sides of a full size marshmallow. Place 2 M&Ms on the front of the marshmallow for eyes.
GHOULISH PRETZLES
Melt chocolate chips and white chocolate chips in separate containers. Gentle combine and swirl the two together for a marbled effect. Dip big pretzel sticks into the melted chocolate. Stick on candy eyes.
HALLOWEEN MAGIC WANDS
Pretzel Rods, dipped in chocolate and rolled in sugar sprinkles. Looks like a wand dipped in glitter.
CENTIPIDE SURPRISE
Place a pretzel stick into each end of a jumbo marshmallow (use the short, thin pretzel sticks). Keep adding marshmallows in either direction to make your centipede as long as you like.
ANTS ON A LOG
Rinse 1 or 2 celery stalks. Cut the stalks into halves or thirds. Fill the hollow of each celery piece with peanut butter and then sprinkle raisins across the peanut butter.
MONSTER COOKIES
This is something the children can do. Each child creates a monster cookie by making a face on an oatmeal cookie by using candy corn, chocolate chips, marshmallows, raising, etc. Place the cookies on a cookie sheet and place in a hot oven just long enough for faces to melt. This creates truly monster faces.
